Synopsis
People so confidently say “I know!” “I have proof!”
And while these powerful sentences for some reason look very persuasive, they mean nothing.
They are just words. They are just a strong mindset.
Either a deceived one tells them or one who deceives.
Before these declarations, there should be questions: “Do I know?” “Is this proof?”
The only confident thing to say is “I cannot actually know.” “This ‘proof’ might be fake.”
Believe nothing, doubt everything especially when others believe everything and doubt nothing.
Knowing nothing is the next best solution to the lies, to the deceit, to the misinformation.
Review
I was given this ARC as a gift from the author. My opinions and thoughts of the book are mine alone.
This is not the first book that I have read by the author, but my review will be much different than anything I have written. Why? I would say because I tend to focus on plot and character development. I find that to be the most important part of the story. This book completely took me off guard. I will not say how because I am a firm believer in no spoilers, but I would say to keep your eyes open and let things happen.
This book is about more than I thought. When I first opened the book to read it, I went in having my own thoughts and opinions. These are not things that I would find a need to change. I think that I am the type of person that accepts change and growth in everything. Fast forward to when the book finishes and I found myself changing my mind. Maybe hearing someone else’s unfiltered opinion made me see something in different light.
My Rating: I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I loved the honesty in this book. This book was quick and pretty easy to read. While I liked the book, I don’t know if I will open it again. I want to believe I will because I want to see the opinions when changes in the world happen. Maybe in 10 years, the author’s opinions are important to remember and learn from again. I believe that readers should read this book with an open mind and ask questions as well.
