They’re back! Julian and Rome are taking their show on the road. This time to lovely, old England in search of Camelot. Review
I was lucky enough to receive this book from the author. I hope the prospective reader will read this review fully before making any prejudgments on the book. I will give the book my thoughts. These thoughts are completely my own and not swayed in any way by anyone else’s reviews or opinions.
This is the second book in the series. After reading the first book, I must admit that I was nervous. See, I have this thing with books with the same characters, I struggle to like them. I am the type of reader who would rather read an amazing and long book about characters and then the next book is about different people. While I don’t mind the characters there as a supporting role, I don’t enjoy when their story keeps going. I believe this has something to do with my own attention span. This book is a must read. It reminds me of my favorite series as a child. There is just so much to love about it.
The characters are amazing just like the first in the series, the second just shows the author’s ability to understand how to build a story without any pointless lulls in a brilliant way. The author has so much love for these stories and you can feel it in the book. I never found myself stuck reading the book and needing a break. There was so much jam packed into a section, yet it didn’t feel like too much. It was so much fun to read.
My Rating: I was fully expecting this book to be lower than the first. I honestly wondered if there was even topping the first one. I was pleasantly surprised. This story didn’t need to top the first one, but match it in a way where it didn’t feel like I was reading the same book over and over again. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I encourage readers, both young and old, to give Rome and Julian a chance and watch their adventures unfold.
This second book was so good! probably my favourite one of the series
