Synopsis

Laura’s assistant Jared is obsessed with her, and after being fired he uses his newly free time to learn her routines. No matter how she says no, his advances keep getting bolder.

Laura soon realizes that the women she thought were friends are actually team Jared—he’s funny and likable while Laura is reserved. Of course they don’t believe that he is stalking her, and without a tangible threat, the police can’t help either.

Now, she has an elaborate plan to fake her death. When everything goes wrong, she finds herself lost in the forest, and her notes tell people not to look for her. But one person is looking for her. Jared’s formed a plan of his own and he is hunting her—to prove they were meant to be. By any means necessary.

I was lucky enough to receive this book from the author. I hope the prospective reader will read this review fully before making any prejudgments on the book. I will give the book my thoughts. These thoughts are completely my own and not swayed in any way by anyone else’s reviews or opinions.

This book is so well written. I was excited to read this book. I love me a good thriller. I want to be thrown around on a roller coaster. Most importantly, I want a storyline. I feel that this is an important part of having a masterpiece of a thriller. I know it can be a tall order to ask sometimes. This book gives you a psychological experience. You are taken into this world and you want out, but not without knowing all there is to know.

These characters are so complex. I have to say, there are moments where I catch something later on and I find myself backtracking to the section of the story that I know it came from and I am working to find the answer. That is the characteristics of a wonderful writer. There are clues that are given that create this moment of aha!

My Rating: I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. If I could rate this book 50 stars, I would. If you love suspense and thrillers, this is a book you should take a look at. I find that I could read this book again and still find moments that I missed the first time. I cannot recommend this book enough for readers! I know that you will not be disappointed in any line from this book. As you turn pages, know that you won’t stop until there are no more pages left to turn.
