Synopsis
I have had a crush on my step sister’s ex-boyfriend for years. Even after she dumped him and married someone else. Even when he became a billionaire and totally out of my league. Even when rumour swirled that he made a deal with Lucifer for all of his riches. Now he’s waltzed into my life asking for a favor; pretend to be his girlfriend for three months to get closer to my sister and her husband. He says he’s over her and it’s just business but I don’t believe him. I know I’m being used but I don’t want it to stop…
Damian
Thanks to a deal with Lucifer I have everything a man could ever want; power, wealth and more women than I can count. I have everything except the thing I really want; REVENGE. I have enlisted the help of innocent Reighanne . She is a pawn in my game. My inner demon wants to mate her and claim her for its own but she deserves better than a demon. I have promised to let her go when this is over. I know I should let her go but I am not sure if I can.
Review
I was lucky enough to receive this book from BookSirens. I hope the prospective reader will read this review fully before making any prejudgments on the book. I will give the book my thoughts. These thoughts are completely my own and not swayed in any way by anyone else’s reviews or opinions.
I have to say that I enjoyed reading this book. It was something that was an easy read and the characters were fun. Damian was interesting. He exuded power to a whole new level without the overbearing attitude. He was not someone that I found overly annoying. I did think that there was a point in time that the storyline with him got so lost. I think that the movements changed so much that it was almost confusing.
I liked the way Reighanne was written. I think she was interesting from the first moment. She is strong and she knew what she wanted and no one could talk her out of it. She was the best character by far in the story. Overall, the characters were written really well.
My Rating: I would rate this book 3 out of 5 stars. while the characters held the book together, the plot was not as well written. It was jumpy and moved from one major plot point to another without finishing the one before. I believe that is where I was lost. I wanted one point to be closed before the next one opened and there was a choppy finish. The story has so much more potential. After reading other stories in this series, I know it is good, but this one was honestly just okay.
