I was lucky enough to receive this book from BookSirens. I hope the prospective reader will read this review fully before making any prejudgments on the book. I will give the book my thoughts. These thoughts are completely my own and not swayed in any way by anyone else’s reviews or opinions.

There is no delay in this book. I mean that there is so much thrill in this book that my arms are in the air as the big drop happens. I felt that this book gives you exactly what you want and dream of when you think of a good thriller. I loved all of the suspense that comes packed into this book. I found the mystery portion of the book to be one of the best that I have read. I found every second to be engaging.

The suspense in this story is a character of its own and I couldn’t ask for anything better. There was one thing that I was a little disappointed with. The romance aspect, while brilliant, had some issues. I found that there was trauma in the female lead that could have been explored more. That seemed a little glazed over. The other section would be the criminal. I felt that there was a little lacking knowledge in the past of the killer. I wanted to know more about why this person becomes someone who is so capable of horrific crimes. I am also completely nitpicking at this point, so it could just be me.

My Rating: I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I found it to be truly entertaining. I am the type of girl who enjoys true crime and suspense in television and books. This just ticks all of those boxes for me. I recommend this book to those who love a good mystery that takes you through all of the highs and lows of suspense. I don’t want to say it is a fun read, but it really is. Although, I do warn the potential reader of the heaviness of the storyline and maybe to read the blurb before opening the book.
