I was lucky enough to receive this book from BookSirens. I hope the prospective reader will read this review fully before making any prejudgments on the book. I will give the book my thoughts. These thoughts are completely my own and not swayed in any way by anyone else’s reviews or opinions.
This is the type of book that keeps me thinking and up at night. Those are the best feelings while reading. I sat down to read and then went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night finding that I wanted to know even more. I got up and picked up the book again to read. This is definitely what I would call a page turner.
Dual timeline stories are not what I read too often. To me, it is one of the most difficult stories to write. The readers cannot get confused and have to have a connection to the characters. There are so many ways that it could go wrong. Then you add paranormal romance to it. Another difficult genre because it can get cheesy or annoying. This book succeeded all my expectations and I found that I didn’t want the story to reach an ending point.
The characters are amazing. I could just go on and on about them. I am not going to though because I want you to read the book! They are good, so beware.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. I didn’t even have to contemplate this one. I will be reading this story over and over again. This is the first book I am reading from this author. I also know that this will absolutely not be my last. I know this author has The Garden Plot. You can bet that will be the next book I read. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a wonderfully written paranormal romance book. It was truly one in a million.
